De Stijl Eyewear elements are combined into an architectural entirety without the use of screws or welding by the hinge, which is the real masterpiece within every De Stijl frame. Form follows function in the simple lines and yet making a statement wherever the wearer prefers the eye to travel.
- The components of the patented hinge are seamlessly merged. It is manufactured entirely from stainless steel, giving it an extreme strength and unprecedented durability.
- Optical welding is rarely done by the latest semi-automatic laser soldering machines. This sophisticated technology enable perfect aesthetic assembly without overheating and weakening the materials.
- Ion plating (IP) technology has been used to create the majority of the colour tones. Originating from the aviation industry, this technology ensures an extremely durable coloured layer.
